FAQs

Is there a cancellation fee?

I do not currently enforce a cancellation policy, but ask you to please let me know if you need to cancel or reschedule. Even a last minute call or txt is always better than nothing. Keep in mind I have scheduled my day around your appointment, or maybe you are the only appointment on the books that day. I have no problem with cancellations, but no one wants to go to work and wait around for nothing! Also, when I have people on a waitlist, a heads up on cancellations or reschedule may mean someone else can take advantage of this last minute appointment time. Thank you so much for your consideration in this matter.

What should I expect from my session?

Your massage session will be done in a clean, private, comfortable room with ambient music, a table warmer for your comfort and relaxing environment. I use the classic Swedish massage style as my base and you may undress in privacy to your comfort level but will be draped in clean comfortable linens the entire time. I use unscented hypoallergenic massage gel for your session. We'll start with a brief warm up and then I will check in with you on pressure to work with your preferences. This is your massage, so feedback and communication throughout your session is always welcome.

Is there a waiting room?

Yes. There is a waiting room, so if you'd like someone to wait for you, we have a place to sit and a restroom where they're welcome to wait. If two people are coming in for back to back massages, the other is welcome to relax and wait. We also have a stores, coffee shop and restaurants very close so there are other nearby options to spend some time if desired.

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Get excited but not nervous! If you've never had a massage before, thank you for choosing me to be your first massage therapist. You don't need any special considerations with clothing as you will privately disrobe and be on the massage table with sheets and blankets to cover you during your session. Arrive just a few minutes prior to your session, 5 minutes is usually sufficient for a standard intake but you may want to allow a few extra if you have any in depth health issues to discuss. This will give us time to chat about your current state of health as well as your massage session goal and then get started right on time for your appointment.

Do you have an elevator?

No, we do not and be aware there is one flight of stairs to my office on the second floor. It is inside, well lit and carpeted with hand rails, and I am happy to assist if needed, but there is no elevator.
